Thank you for considering volunteering at the South Fort George Family Resource Center (FRC). Healthy communities depend on volunteers—people who will share their skills with an organization because they care about their community. We need the help of people like you! Volunteering your time and talents is a powerful way to help influence the service of the FRC.

Volunteers can make a big difference in the quality of service by working behind the scenes, on long term or short term projects.

High school students interested in volunteer hours are welcomed. We provide a certificate program for students who require proof of community services hours for graduation requirements.

Our volunteer application package contains descriptions of some of the volunteer opportunities available at the FRC. Please read through the volunteer description and see if there is something that you may be interested in. If you see an activity that you are interested in , fill out the application and confidentiality agreement at our office; then compete and return the two criminal record check forms to the RCMP office.

References will be checked and potential volunteers will be contacted by telephone to arrange an interview. Volunteers will be officially accepted into the program once they have cleared the criminal record check and completed the orientation.

Those of us who  work at the FRC have the satisfaction of helping others enhance their lives. We know that you’ll find the same kind of satisfaction by joining the FRC volunteers. Thank you for your willingness to volunteer.
