Need space to run an event, program, or class in Prince George?

We’re bringing people together.

At the Family Resource Center (FRC) in Prince George, we have several rooms and facilities available to rent for parties, meetings, classes, and events. Community is at the heart of who we are. And offering a safe space to build that community, is just one more way we can foster healthy, happy connections.

It all goes back into supporting you, our community. The money from these rentals helps fund our community programs, which support people in Prince George and the surrounding area in building better lives. At the end of the day, everything we do is for you.

Facilities to Rent

We’ve done our best to make using our facilities affordable and accessible. Our spaces are available for rent, starting at just $35/hour plus a $50 refundable deposit.

Renting one of our facilities also comes with plenty of free parking as well as access to tables, chairs, and gym equipment if you need them.

Gymnasium for Rent

Need room to stretch out? Our gym has a 319-person capacity, and we keep toys and recreation equipment on hand for you to use. We’ve had fitness classes, workshops, and youth programming in the gym as well as birthday parties, community events, and other large-scale gatherings that needed the space.

The community that plays together stays together. We’re always looking for more ways to bring people together. And an affordable space for everything from adult fitness classes to children’s birthday parties is one more way we can do that.

Do you still rent the gym for birthday parties?

Yes, we’re happy to rent out the gym for any celebration and any event. Just remember, there is no alcohol allowed on the premises.

What kind of toys does the FRC have available?

We have hockey sticks, hockey nets, volleyballs, soccer balls, basketballs, and smaller toys for about 1- to 6-year-olds and much more!

Is food allowed?

Yes! Bring whatever food you’d like to snack on. Just, please make sure to clean up after.

What else is included with my Gym rental?

When you rent our gym, we include the use of tables and chairs, toys, a galley kitchen, cleaning supplies, and garbage bags for no additional fees.

Community Kitchen for Rent

There’s nothing like food to bring people together.

Our community kitchen is Northern Health-approved, fully stocked, and ready for your next culinary adventure. The community kitchen has a 10-person capacity and is a popular space for hosts of cooking programs and classes, community meals, workshops, and other small group activities.

The kitchen comes with two stoves, sinks, a commercial sanitizer, and a clothes washer and dryer. This space also includes a table, moveable island, and plenty of counter space.

What does the community kitchen come with?

When you rent the community kitchen, you get just about all the kitchen supplies you could want for a class or community meal, including pots, pans, cookie sheets, lots of counter space, 2 stoves/ovens, cleaning supplies, aprons, and much more.

Is the community kitchen Northern Health-approved?

Yes! Our kitchen is Northern Health-approved, which means that our kitchen has been inspected and permitted by Northern Health officials, certifying that we comply with BC Food Premises Regulations, including meeting strict safety, sanitation, and construction standards to prevent food-borne illness.

Nechako Room

The Nechako Room is a small, intimate space for groups of 8 people or fewer. It includes couches, a TV, and a small table. Counsellors, tutors, social workers, physiotherapists, and other small business owners often find this space perfect for their needs. As such, we have it available for both short-term and long-term rentals.

Outdoor Spaces to Rent

Looking for wide open spaces and fresh air for your next event? We can help!

We have an open field space available to rent, and it’s the perfect blank canvas for whatever event you’re planning. Plenty of space for birthday parties, craft fair booths, large family reunions, and so much more. We can accommodate almost any event in our green areas. Blue skies are the limit.
